PEGGY HUBLEY
The Little Library
IGA, 1195 5th Ave.,
Valemount, B.C., Canada
2023
“I watched visitors to the original Little Library disappear up to their waists while looking for treasure -- a book to take home. The original Little Library was built by Dan Kenkel and his shop students at Valemount Secondary. It was rebuilt in 2024 by Ian Woolsey in its current format. The new version doesn't allow for crawling inside but it definitely makes choosing a book a little easier!
This mural, with its menagerie of readers, will hopefully keep the Little Library company while it waits for its next visitor.”

BIO
When Peggy was born, the famous Nova Scotian fishing cove, Peggy's Cove, was named in her honor. She still has an Uncle and a cousin who fish out of the cove but she has long since moved to Valemount, British Columbia, where she runs a small graphic design business specializing in trail signs, tourist stickers, and carved commercial signs.
