Alexandra was born in the USSR, immigrating to the Robson Valley in 2006. She is an agronomist by trade and has illustrated articles in magazines and a book on floriculture. She continued her art education at Red Deer Polytechnic. She organizes local art classes which she strongly believes are a type of art therapy. Flowers, animals and landscapes give her inspiration. Her childhood dream was to draw cartoons. You can see the influence in her work. According to family history, the owl is the patron/totem of her family lineage. She has painted many interpretations of them.
